"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Your share!

Dear beloved,
Is me Mrs. Mary Fischer, your good old friend. How are you doing? I hope you are good? It's been a long time since we talked to each other and I know you would be wondering where I am and why I have not been talking to you. Well, I left the country for vacation in South Africa after I was discharged from the hospital, and I spent many months over there. How is life entirely? I hope everything is fine with you? I am writing to inform you that I have succeeded in transferring those funds to a Cypriot account through the help of a new friend from Cyprus who is a pastor. Right now I am in Cyprus with my friend trying to invest my share of the funds. However, I did not forget all the efforts you made in the past towards helping me get those funds out from the bank even though we did not succeed. I decided to reward you with the sum of $1,480,000.00 USD. This is to compensate you for all the troubles you went through while trying to assist me at that time. Unfortunately, I was not able to send this sum of money to you before traveling to Cyprus due to shortage of time. But, I handed it over to my pastor for him to deliver to you as soon as you get in touch with him. All you need to do is to reach out to him immediately you receive this email to enable him send it to you without delay. Below are his contact details where you can reach out to him.

Names: Rev. Alex Dakora
Tel: +2348123900761
E-mail: rev.dakorax@gmail.com

You should contact him upon your receipt of this email, and also ensure that you provide to him all the necessary information which he will need to send the fund to you. Once you receive the fund do update me so that we can share the joy together.
Thanks once again,
Mrs. Mary Fischer
