"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Kind Attention

Hello, Kindly read with understanding. I am Mr DARA KHIM, a business development manager working with Kookmin Bank of Cambodia here in Southeast Asia. I apologize for contacting you in this manner but the situation requires urgent attention.

I contacted you for a reason, there is an unfinished business transaction in my bank.one of our deceased customers who died since 2020 from covid, He has Five million three Hundred Thousand United States dollars (5,300,00.00) in his account and no relatives have come to claim his money.

I have done personal investigation in locating any of his relatives, but all effort was unworkable. So, I decided to contact you to seek your consent to present you as the next of kin to the late account holder. The ratio is 50% for you and 50% for me.

I have relevant documents to register your name as the next of kin to the deceased, since you share the same surname. I assure you that there will be no risk involved, we will handle this transaction legally and professionally.

Kindly get back to me for more details if you are willing to do this business with me.

Yours Sincerely,

Dara Khim
