"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: CONFIRM

Dear Beneficiary,

My office has just discovered that your name and email address are in
our payment

database. It states that your funds are yet to be paid according to our Payment

Security System [PSS.].

Reports also prove that you are instrumental to the delay of your
fund. However, an

American woman named Mrs. Patricia Deann recently approached my office
with some

documents claiming to be your agent. The documents she presented
indicated that you

died in an automobile crash about two week and being a family member,
she was made

the beneficiary of the fund. I want to confirm if you are alive or
dead. If after

three days you fail to respond back to my office, this office will
assume that you

are dead, and the fund shall be released to Mrs. .Patricia Deann through our

correspondent bank.

Kindly respond on time to enable me discharge my duties accordingly
please contact

me on my email address.( paymentforeign085@gmail.com )

Thanks for your understanding.

Yours faithfully,

Mr Peter Bona
