"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Contact me right now, it's very important.

Hello my dear,
i got your email address in the internet and i decided to contact you
after reading your profile. I hope you are fine and doing well
altogether? I am writing you because i need your services and i hope
you will sincerely and carefully give me a listening ear, may be you
will be of immense help by offering your selfless service to me if you
and me are destined to work together.

My name is Diana Musambi a young black African woman. I am studying
nursing under the British Council here in Dakar, Senegal. I need you
as my friend in terms of business and advice. My father is from Kenya
a country in East Africa, while my mother is from Senegal a country in
West Africa.

My father Engineer Abedi Musambi was an aeronautic engineer, who
specialized in the repair and servicing of commercial Aircraft when he
was alive.
He was a British trained aircraft engineer and also an employee of the
British airways and was living in London, United Kingdom with my
mother before both of them had irreconcilable differences which made
them to divorce go their separate ways. After their divorce my mother
returned back to Senegal with me and continued her nursing profession
in Hospital Grand Yoff, Dakar, Senegal. My mother later died in 2015
in a ghastly motor accident while from our family friend's wedding.

After my mother and myself relocated to Senegal my father continued to
reside in London alone before his untimely death in 2018 as a result
of Stroke which got him bedridden. My father was buried over there in
London. United Kingdom while my mother was buried here in Dakar,
Senegal. I am suffering so much here in Senegal, i need your help
because it is becoming very difficult for me in terms of feeding and
taking care of my daily needs. I want to come over to your country to
meet you in person.

The reason why i am contacting you is because i want you to help me to
invest some funds in your country. After the untimely death of my
father, I sent my father's death certificate to the British airways
and they paid the sum of £3.5 million ( Three million, five hundred
thousand British Pounds Sterling) life insurance fee and the money was
deposited at one of the reputable Banks, it is the money that i want
you to help me to invest in your country.

You are going to handle all aspects of this investment transaction
from the beginning till the end because i don't have any experience or
knowledge in business. I will give you 25% of the total amount as your
commission for accepting to help me to invest the fund in your
country.

I will prefer to meet you in person first, right here in Senegal,i
want you to come down to Senegal to see me so that we can be together
and work out everything concerning transferring the fund to your bank
account.

In my next email i will write the information i need from you which i
will submit to the Bank for the process of transferring the fund to
your Bank account. I will also send my photos and my telephone number
to you as soon as I receive your response. I am looking forward to
hearing from you soon.

Yours sincerely,
Diana Musambi.
