"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Greetings

Dear Friend,

I understand that through the Internet is not the best way to link up
with you because of the confidentiality which my proposal demands and
Due to Crisis, we have in Russia after the annexation of Ukraine and
the sanctions that followed from the United States European union.

It is with tears and deep sorrows in my heart that I write you this

merchant based in the city of Kyiv. Presently economic activities are
shutting down in Ukraine due to the ongoing invasion by Russia. As we
all know, millions of Ukrainian civilians have fled, and many killed
while some are trapped with no access to any humanitarian corridors
for escape. The much-anticipated help from NATO and the EU allies are
not fort coming quickly as expected, hence then Russians has taken
advantage of that to inflict mayhem. It is a sad story here.

Based on this deadly situation I urgently need to relocate my family
and us investment capital to a safe country before it is too late. But
it requires your help to have it done. That is why I have contacted
you. Kindly indicate your willingness to assist and then full details
will follow. Please treat it as urgent. Contact them quickly and give
me updates. The situation here is a matter of life and death now and
we need to get out as quickly as we can.

Pending your quick response.

Yours Sincerely,
