"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Hello My Dear.

--

Hello My Dear.
In humility I wish to offer my friendship, which after going through
your profile online I decided to contact you for a very important
reason.
I am Mrs. Ashling Faris Hamza, my husband is a British American from
the Republic of Ireland who died 9 years ago, I will turn 62 years old
this year, and I have been suffering from breast cancer for some years
now.
With my health condition deteriorating, I have decided to donate my
inheritance fund (USD$14,600,000) to you on condition you will use it
for charity works, as I do not have husband, family or children that
can inherit these funds when am gone, I personally request you become
heir to my inheritance funds, because my health condition is getting
worse on daily basis.
Although this email is been sent through a proxy, please kindly reply
immediately for more details at (assistashling4good@gmail.com)
Sincerely,
Mrs. Ashling Faris Hamza.
