"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

*How are you doing? I have sent you this information before and I am
wondering why you have not replied the message information regarding the
death of your family member, your brother. Please confirm if you received
our first message of information sent to you some days ago. As we are
waiting for your confirmation of the information.*


*Let me give you a brief information, MR. ANDREW your brother / family
member with the same surname and country with you was an Aronutic Engr till
his death with his family in Ghastly Motor accident some years ago. When we
went through his documents we found your name in the WILL he made and with
some money he deposited in the bank and landed properties documents. *

*However you are expected to put up a letter of claim to your
brother/family member inheritance.*

*We are waiting to hear from you today as you receive this information the
second and last notice to you.*
