"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: $1,000,000 PACKAGE DELIVERY

--
I’m Mr Crouch John from AirSpace Freight shipping company, I’m
emailing you to tell you that a package containing the total sum of
$1,000,000 was registered in our company earlier today on your name.

Mr Benson Coleman deposited this money on your name, he also handed a
letter to us which will be delivered alongside with the $1,000,000.
However, Mr Coleman said the content of the letter has everything to
do with the money he is sending to you. This letter will remain sealed
until you receive your money as instructed.

For some security reasons, we searched the package to ensure it
contents before delivery.

Mr Coleman has paid for the shipping fee of this package and also gave
us your information which we'd want you to reconfirm so we'd verify
that you are the rightful receiver.
