"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Dear Trusted Partner

Dear Trusted Partner,

How are you doing today? I hope all is well with you and your lovely family. Please don't be surprised or afraid about the contents of this email message. I received a very good recommendation about you as an honest and trustworthy person, a God fearing and reliable man that can handle financial transactions faithfully. I want you to know that I trust you so much as a good friend and reliable partner based on the good recommendations I received about you. I want to entrust a very good and profitable business into your hands. I want to believe that you will not betray my trust and disappoint me at the end of this business. I also want you to reciprocate the trust to me too. By the order of the president of federal republic of Nigeria and current petroleum minister i was given a bulk allocation of Nine million barrels of bonny light crude oil (9 million barrels) in my name as the former group managing director of NNPC, based on my excellent performance while serving that high office . I was given the authori

The bulk allocation was given to me at a $20.00 discount per barrel. I want to allocate this 9m barrels of crude oil to you with your name and process all the
necessary documents in your name as my trusted friend and partner. After re-allocating the crude oil to you, we shall sell it to the buyers at a discount of $8.00 per barrel and we will make a profit of $12.00 per barrel. After selling the total bulk allocation of 9 million barrels we will make a gross profit of One Hundred and Eight Million United States Dollars Only ($108,000,000.00). This amount will be transferred into your bank account as the new owner of the crude oil allocation and you will send $64.8m to me which is 60% and have $43.2m to yourself which is 40% of the total profit. We are only required to remit the actual value of the crude oil amount to the NNPC account minus the $20.00 discount per barrel after selling it to the buyers when we receive the total money from the buyer. Therefore we are only required to pay the crude oil value to the NNPC account after we receive the total money from our buyers.

This is the greatest opportunity and best chance of our lifetime to achieve huge financial success now. The good news is that we have buyers from Singapore who are ready and willing to buy the total allocation after the process of re-allocating the crude oil to you and securing all the necessary documents in your name, i have discussed this with the buyers and they are waiting for us to finish the re-allocation process. I have some big oil companies here in Nigeria that will help us in the entire selling procedure without any hitches.

You should inform me of your willingness to work with me on this business to enable me commence the re-allocation process in your favor immediately.

I await your prompt reply

God Bless You

Yours Sincerely
Engr. Andrew Yakubu
