"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Hello

Deareat One,

Allow me to introduce myself, I'm Adjoua Kouassi, I'm the Regional Bank
Manager of Bank Of Africa Côte d'Ivoire. As BOA regional bank manager,
it is my duty to submit a financial report to our head office at the end
of each year, but in the 2017 year report, I discovered an excess profit
of seventeen million US dollars that I kept in suspends account without
any beneficiaries. This is why I am contacting you so that we can work
together to transfer the said funds to your bank account and the
percentage ratio is forty percent for you and sixty percent for me.
All i need from you is to be the depositor next of kin for our bank
headquarters to order the transfer to your designated bank account. If
you accept this offer to work with me, if you find this proposal
suitable for you, please respond with your full details. I would be very
grateful if this proposal is accepted by you, but do not take undue
advantage of the trust I have placed in you and I assure you that we
will achieve this successfully.

Best regards.
Mrs. Adjoua.
