"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

My name is.DR jerry Slydon the new director of remittance of Barclays Bank, London, this is to inform you that a man came to my office today presenting Mr. Singh Sagrah as your next of kin to claim your Overdue Compensation Payment valued at US$750,000.00 (Seven Hundred and Fifty Thousand United States Dollars Only), saying that you died in an auto crash in Mumbai expressway in May 18th this year, He went further to present to us your Death Certificate to prove to us the genuity of his claim, this is the reason our bank deemed it fit to reach out to you to ascertain if the story is true before we before we can proceed in paying him your US$750,000.00 (Seven Hundred and Fifty Thousand United States Dollars Only) as your next of kin.

Note that if you don't respond to this email, we will assume that what he told us is true then will proceed in making the payment to Mr Singh. We therefore request that you respond to this message if you are still alive by sending to us your full name, Address, Whatsapp number for reconfirmation.
