"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: SUBJECT MATTER

Good Day,
I represent Mr. Hassan from Saudi Arabia who was invited by some bank officials here in the UK to inherit funds which looks like it was formerly in your name or it was supposed to be claimed by you, the funds has been in a bank in UK since for payment but it seemed you forgot about the funds, I decided to collect your contacts from the file at the bank with your name, and I have advised my client not to claim the money but instead allow me to contact you and find out what happened before we proceed.

Total funds is $50,000,000.00.

Could you be kind enough to contact me?.

I have included in this email my client passport copy and my own passport copy so as to assure you that this is not a scam mail from some criminals.
