"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

3.2 in arrival report please advise following info:

- nor tendered

- dropped anchor (if applicable)

- anchor away (if applicable)

- pob

- first line ashore

- all fast

- commenced / completed inward clearance

- commenced / completed initial draft survey

- commencement of cargo operations

3.3 please provide in daily discharging reports following information:

- cargo discharged since last report and distribution per holds

- total cargo discharged and distribution per holds

- gangs/hoppers/cranes employed

- delays and stoppages, if any

- etc/s

3.4 departure report.

please inform us about completion of cargo operations w/o any

delays and advise expected departure time.

upon departure of the vessel please provide us following info:

- time of completion of cargo operations

- started/finished final draft survey

- started/finished outward clearance

- pob

- all lines cast off

- pilot off

4.0 CARGO DOCUMENTS

4.1 please provide us draft SOF at least one day prior to completion

of cargo operations

4.2 please ensure to pass NORs for shippers'/port acceptance without

5.0 STEVEDORE DAMAGE

=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D

5.1 if stevedore damage to the vessel occurs, please notify immediately on

occurrence. please simultaneously endeavour stevedores to repair damage

and to obtain evidences of any kind, assist master to receive written

acknowledgement of the damage from the responsible party. any stevedore

damage, if possible, should be repaired by the stevedores at master's

satisfaction. if stevedores cannot or refuse to repair the damages

themselves, joint survey will be performed, attended by the

time-charterers' surveyor and representative of stevedoring

company and cost of repairs to be inserted in the survey report.

5.2 before vessel's sailing please put to the master for signing a

certificate acknowledging that no stevedore damages have been

sustained during loading.

6.0 EXPENSES

=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D

6.1 any additional expenses may be included into d/a only after

our acknowledgement.

6.2 we treat all d/a items as fixed and can not appear higher

in final d/a

6.3 as we are time-charter owners of the vessel all and any owners

expenses such as any services provided to crew, fresh water,

any supplies and spare parts to the vessel to be covered directly

by head owners or by master. we will not accept any expenses of

such kind.

6.4 any miscellaneous expenses, communications, non-compulsory

contributions, etc. are deemed already included into d/a and will

not be charged in excess of same, unless separately requested by us

6.5 once remitted, d/a items shall become independent of rate of

exchange, unless compulsorily hedged to roe or some other variable

rate;
