"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Hello Sir,
 
First of all, I would want to introduce myself, I am Alhaji Mohammadu Gambo the Chairman
of the newly constituted NNPC Contract Award Review Committee raised by the newly elected
government to look into the controversy between the The National Petroleum Investment
Management Services (NAPIMS), Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) and Nigerian
Agip Oil Company (NAOC) over the multi-billion Dollars contracts that could not carry out
by the contractors.
 
These contracts are from the the National Petroleum Investment Management Services (NAPIMS),
which is a subsidiary of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) and the Nigerian
Agip Oil Company (NAOC) for the Installations and Maintenance Service Contract (IMSC) of Gas
Turbines and related equipments for OB/OB, Ebocha and Kwale Gas plants in Delta State as well
as in Jebba,only a German company have completed phase 1 & 2 of the contract and has been
fully paid to the tune of US$129 Million leaving the over invoice sum of US$65,000,000 yet
unremitted surplus amount influenced by the officials of the past administration and it was
discovered that they made several attempts to move the money but could not complete it before
the expiration of the tenor of the ousted President Goodluck Jonathan which they served under
just last month of May, 29th 2015.
 
This over-invoiced amount has been safeguarded presently at the local banks here for immediate
release to you as the indebted contractor with the assistance and collaboration of my Key
Committee Members for our joint interest using the instrumentality of my prestigious office as
the Chairman of this committee. So, I need a foreign Bank Account through which you can receive
it as a contractor been owed by the NNPC for the contract you executed under the past administration
hence we have the support documentations to secure the approvals in your name once we receive
your consent.

Therefore, I will want you to use your expertise, experience and professionalism to move this money
into your BANK ACCOUNT (whether personal or corporate account) for our joint interest as my fiduciary
and or associate in proxy since your name will be used as the contractor that has been indebted by
the past government.
 
We have on our part agreed and propose to give you a share of 30% of the total sum for your collaboration,
with additional 10% set aside to take care of all the necessary expenses from both your side and on our
side and you while you keep the balance 60% for me and my collegues.
 
kindly note that this proposal is highly secret and confidential and I need your trust and co-operation
to actualize it quickly. Therefore you should  come back to me with your details and declaration
of trustworthiness and that you will not betray us when this money enters into your account.
